The 15th session of the United Nations Group of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) was held in New York.

Head of the Cadastre Committee Suren Tovmasyan, and Secretary-General Mher Khachatryan participated to the 15th session of the UN Group of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) in New York, USA, from August 6 to 8.

The delegations from member countries of the UN Group of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management was attended to the session.

During the session, issues related to improving global geospatial information management, the introduction of regional committees in the global geospatial information agenda, the introduction of thematic networks in the global geospatial information agenda, the UN Integrated Geospatial Information Framework, the Global Geodetic Reference Framework, the sustainable development of geospatial information, the integration of climate, environmental, geospatial, statistical and other related information, effective land management, integrated marine geospatial information, the introduction and adoption of standards for the global geospatial information community, the standardization of geographical names, policy and legal frameworks, including authoritative data and emerging technologies, were discussed.

Suren Tovmasyan, Head of the Cadastre Committee, made speeches on the agenda items "UN Integrated Geospatial Information Framework", "Geospatial Information for Sustainable Development", "Integrated Geospatial Data for Effective Land Management".

During the event, the head of the committee had working meetings with members of delegations from other countries, and topics of mutual interest were discussed.
